About Us

In the fall of 2007, Amelia Ceja, Co-Founder and President of Ceja Vineyards, and her son Ariel Ceja, General Manager of Ceja Vineyards, began entertaining the idea of establishing an online cooking show. With Amelia’s culinary flair and Ariel’s background in film production (as well as his voracious appetite), the duo felt it was appropriate to showcase the authentic Mexican dishes they had enjoyed cooking and eating their entire lives to the world.

 

Development on the project took off in January of 2008 as the two Cejas decided to turn their wacky idea into a reality. It was agreed upon that this new venture would be called Salud! Napa, a name that evoked bicultural connotations as well as an idyllic sense of place. A logo was commissioned and while the articles of incorporation were drafted, new revelations came to light; why not create a community-driven environment around Salud! Napa? With the news of so many social networking sites finding a niche online, mother and son became inclined to take a similar approach to reach the masses in an interactive and entertaining way: present viewers with scrumptious recipes (and suggested wine pairings of course) and give viewers the ability to critique them! 
 

While a web design firm was employed to carry out the vision of Amelia and Ariel, other family members and close friends joined the team to assist in developmental affairs – a real company was being born! Before long, the fruits of their labor started to sprout as the Salud! Napa business plan was completed and the first sketches of the website were laid out. Fast forward a couple of months and Salud! Napa’s debut is just around the corner!
