Hola and welcome to the Salud! Napa blog! While the official site is still under construction we’re proud to showcase glimpses of what we’re working on. Salud! Napa will be a bicultural cooking show that embraces world cuisine, wine and the arts. We seek to showcase a fun and healthy lifestyle to the willing that not only nourishes their appetite but their souls as well. By focusing on nutritious foods and inspired eating habits, Salud! Napa will serve as a guide to the global population on how easy and pleasurable it is to spend time in the kitchen
Join Amelia Ceja as she prepares a family favorite - Eggplant Salsa! Use it as a side dish or add it to bruschetta. Either way you're in for a treat! Amelia has chosen Ceja Vineyards' 2006 Red Vino de Casa to accompany this fabulous dish.
Continuing with our Art Exploration series, Amelia Ceja interviews Chicano Artist Malaquias Montoya. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1938 and raised in the San Joaquín Valley, California, Montoya's work includes murals, drawings, and paintings, but he is best known for his silkscreen prints. Montoya’s work reflects his unwavering commitment to a global agenda of promoting the dignity of labor and exposing assaults on human rights. In 1968 Montoya co-founded the Mexican-American Liberation Art Front, arguably the most influential Chicano artist collective in the movement.
Note: Malaquias Montoya's exibition is no longer being shown at Ceja Vineyards Wine Tasting Salon & Art Gallery but for more info on his works please visit www.malaquiasmontoya.com
